Miss Keta

Ever since the figure of Myss Keta – the masked singer born from the brilliant intuition of the collective Motel Forlanini – entered the musical scene thanks to a video clip on YouTube – she immediately aroused a very strong curiosity.
Who is the "Milan" Myss Keta? Who is behind those big sunglasses and that mask with trashy and irresistible features at the same time? We have not received an answer to this question so far. Not bad, though: the songs of the blonde and enigmatic rapper are a true jewel of the Italian musical panorama.

More than a name, a project. Myss Keta is the hidden personality behind the idea promoted by the producer Stefano Riva, the director Simone Rovellini and the graphic designer Dario Pigato to fully capture the spirit of the underground community of the city of Milan. The Lombard capital is precisely the launch pad for Myss Keta - or Monica, at least according to some rumors which have never really been proven - the city to which she dedicates her first official single: Milano, sushi & coca (2013).
Myss Keta has the very rare ability to split public opinion, divided between lovers of musical style and women mise rather trashy version of the rapper and her detractors, shocked by the star's excessively provocative streak.
The following years were nothing short of prolific for Monica. In 204 Myss Keta publishes the song Illusione distratta; this single is followed by Burqa by Gucci, in the video of which she begins to show herself with the look we know and love today: sunglasses and a mask covering the lower side of her face.
The release of the video The girls of Porta Venezia provides the singer with the opportunity to present her team made up entirely of women: Miuccia Panda, Donatella, Prada, Cha-Cha and Iban, faithful companions on stages throughout Italy. In 2016 Myss Keta released “The angel with evening glasses“, a mixtape that allows the artist to manipulate sounds coming from the sound of the sixties and seventies. In 2017, the rapper's EP was released, "Carpaccio icebox", from which the single Xananas was extracted.
The two-year period 2018/19 saw the rapper release two very important albums: “Una vita in Capslock” and “Paprika”, the second album with sounds closer to trap and which boasts an excellent team of famous collaborators: Gué Pequeno, Elodie, Dark Polo Gang. In 2020 Myss Keta arrives in Sanremo, where she accompanies Elettra Lamborghini in the very fun evening of covers singing with the heiress It won't happen anymore of the Mori-Celentano couple. Alongside her prolific activity as a singer and rapper, Myss Keta also participates in television programs or those visible on streaming platforms, such as the second edition of “Celebrity Hunted: manhunt“, won by the rapper paired with her colleague and friend Elodie.

Interviews
Despite the allure of mystery that surrounds her Myss Keta participates without particular discomfort in the interviews that are proposed to her, remaining capable of not revealing too much about herself.
Guest of the podcast "Mucchio savage", for example, the rapper gave herself a two-part interview together with Massimo Boldi: a more than tempting opportunity to release some clues on the Myss Keta enigma, particularly struck by the "Milano da bere" of the 1980s, considered "Founding of Myss's imagination".
The city of the Madonnina plays a fundamental role in the life and career of Myss Keta, who during the podcast hosted by Fedez indulges in a nice comparison with Massimo Boldi, during which they talk about “Yuppies“, Silvio Berlusconi, film quotes and fetish programs such as “Un giorno in pretura“.

Musical influences
A musical style full of references that range from pop to rap up to punk and electronic music: the thousand souls of Myss Keta coexist well in her songs, whose ironic and sharp lyrics make fun of the "drinking" Milan, of the rich and famous, of VIPs in the grip of their "vices".
Among the artistic references fundamental to Myss Keta's musical training we can mention Madonna, Lady Gaga, Miss Kittin, Jo Squillo and even Raffaella Carrà.

Myss Keta's stylistic preferences
A perfect mix of fetish, trashy and sexy: Myss Keta's look certainly doesn't go unnoticed.
The woman loves to dare in her songs as well as inside her wardrobe. There are clear references to a revisitation of the style of the Seventies/Eighties which is embellished with ultra-modern details: very high boots, latex tops, sneakers, t-shirts. Myss Keta's wardrobe also has no shortage of divine dresses with a sobriety that echoes the look of the divas of yesteryear.
