Chiara Ferragni

You can love her or hate her, but it will be very difficult to ignore her: Chiara Ferragni is the influencer par excellence.

The fashion blogger and designer shares a public and private existence as if it were an open book for her followers, who target all the social profiles of the most famous Italian mother and entrepreneur in the world.

Style tips, marriage, relationships with your little ones, travel: everything, absolutely everything, is meticulously documented online by the Cremonese woman, whose adventure in the world of style was born almost by chance, when in 2009 she opened a blog in which to dispense style advice.

A small gesture that will decree the global success of the European and blonde version of another famous showbiz icon, Kim Kardashian with whom Ferragni has more than one point in common.

Biography

Daughter of the writer Marina Di Guardo and the dentist Marco Ferragni, Chiara was born in Cremona, the first of three daughters: her younger sisters are Francesca, a dentist and Valentina, also an influencer like her older sister.

After obtaining her classical high school diploma, Chiara Ferragni enrolled in the Faculty of Law at Bocconi University in Milan; the woman, however, will never finish her academic studies, instead moving ever closer to the world of fashion and the web .

In 2009 the influencer opened, in collaboration with her ex-boyfriend Riccardo Pozzoli, the website The Blonde Salad. The portal, initially designed to be a sort of "open" diary in which Ferragni dispenses fashion lessons and style advice, quickly becomes a "bible" for very young people all over the world, who look to the future Mrs. Lucia as a true icon.

The site thus records a boom in access and makes its creator a fashion guru. Chiara Ferragni therefore moves to America. In Los Angeles she embarked on a successful entrepreneurial career and, in addition to becoming CEO of her brand and of Tbs Crew (the company that manages her website), she was chosen as a testimonial for numerous fashion, hairstyling and jewelery brands.

In addition to appearing on the covers of “Vogue” and “Vanity Fair“, Chiara Ferragni was “honored” by the creation of a Barbie by Mattel which bears her features. In 2017 “Forbes” elected her “Most important fashion influencer in the world“. In 2021, Ferragni's paths meet those of Tod's: the woman, in fact, joins the Board of Directors of the famous brand of luxury footwear, clothing and accessories.

Interviews

Chiara Ferragni is known for her self-irony and lends herself with absolute serenity to interviews that range from her entrepreneurial vision of fashion to her private life.

One of the most clicked interviews on the web is the one that the fashion blogger gave to the information portal Fanpage. Ferragni ironically commented on the ranking of curiosities related to her searched on the Google portal, also underlining the satisfaction of having the most followed social profile in Italy.

“It wouldn't bother me to have a camera filming me all the time – underlined Chiara Ferragni during this unusual interview – because I'm very transparent: everything I do I do in broad daylight“, also underlining that she wouldn't be ashamed of having conversations that could subsequently be shown to her followers.

Another important aspect highlighted in this and other interviews is the serene relationship that Ferragni has with her body: a message of body positivity that the entrepreneur embraces fully, being one of the most significant testimonials of the fight against body shaming together with other well-known faces of showbiz, such as Michelle Hunziker, Matilda De Angelis and Vanessa Incontrada.

Private life

Talking about private life in Ferragni's case seems like a joke: the fashion blogger, in fact, thinks and creates every event in a big way, be it participation in a fashion show or her wedding with the well-known rapper Fedez.

Since the romantic - and dramatic - marriage proposal made by the artist to Ferragni during one of his concerts in front of thousands of fans, every step taken by the couple - renamed Ferragnez , a portmanteau reminiscent of that of the American Brangelina - has been documented to the delight of the aficionados of the family Lucia, officially formed with the wedding celebrated in Sicily in 2018 and expanded with the birth of two splendid children (also stars of the network, despite themselves): Leone, born in the same year as the wedding, and Vittoria, born in 2021.

The couple has recently overcome a very delicate period, characterized by a serious health problem of Fedez.

Chiara Ferragni's stylistic preferences

Chiara Ferragni is her own stylist. The woman chooses the outfits to wear herself, focusing first and foremost on items that absolutely cannot be missing from the wardrobe of the female half of the Ferragnez. Floral print mini dress, nautical-style striped shirt, cargo trousers; but also mises more suitable for special occasions, such as sexy suits, dresses with plunging necklines and see-through style suits.

Look sometimes excessive, which are not always appreciated or which often cause discussion: striking examples in this sense are tops that leave the lower part of the breast exposed o l’woven dress, which caused some fashion critics as well as some female Internet users to cry foul. On the occasion of her wedding, however, the blonde influencer showed off a trio of wedding dresses promoted by fans and fashion experts.

There are numerous stylists who love to dress Chiara Ferragni from head to toe: Roberto Cavalli, Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Atsuko Kudo, big Italian and international names who find in the entrepreneur a perfect showcase to highlight their creations, especially the more "provocative" ones, destined to be talked about: the most appropriate outfits for Ferragni.

Philanthropic works and awards

Chiara Ferragni and Fedez showed considerable sensitivity and particular attention during the dramatic two-year period of the Covid-19 pandemic which brought the whole world to its knees, including Italy.

During the first wave, between March and May 2020, the Lucia couple donated almost 17 million euros to the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. The funds - obtained both thanks to a large donation from the Ferragnez and through a fundraising campaign launched at the same time by the couple - were donated to the hospital for the creation of new beds to be allocated to the Intensive Care Department and also to voluntary associations and organizations that faced the terrible health emergency.

These charitable works allowed Fedez and Chiara Ferragni to be awarded a Golden Ambrogino by the Municipality of Milan in December 2020. Ferragni also received a Golden Lion from the city of Venice for the same reason.
